The Victorian is a small survival horror game I’ve been developing as a personal hobby project.
Set in the 1970s, the game follows a family traveling across the country when a severe snowstorm forces them off the road. With nowhere else to go, they take shelter in a secluded but strangely elegant Victorian hotel. What initially seems like a safe place to wait out the storm quickly becomes something far more sinister as the family begins to realize the hotel is haunted—and that leaving may not be as simple as they thought.
For this project, I’ve been handling most of the development myself, including the environment design, 3D modeling, asset creation, level layout, and overall visual direction. I’ve also been working in Unreal Engine to build out the gameplay space, lighting, atmosphere, and interactions while using tools like Maya and ZBrush to create and refine the game’s assets. The project has been a way for me to combine everything I’ve been learning into one larger piece and get more hands-on experience with the full game development process.
